There are a variety of sports offered at Pleasant Valley School:
All programs and activities are open to students regardless of gender. There is a suggested participant donation of $60 per student for each sport. The form, “Agreement for Team Participation” must be completed and signed by a parent prior to try-outs and participating on a school sports team.

Student Standards for Participation in Extracurricular Activities and/or Interscholastic Sports:
The following criteria will be used in judging student eligibility to participate in extra-curricular activities:
Good School Conduct – a student who conforms to the general school rules as well as individual teacher/classroom rules will be allowed to participate in extracurricular activities and /or interscholastic sports.
Reasons for exclusion or non-eligibility:
- Three or more detentions
- Referrals to the office
- Suspensions during the month prior to the activity or game
- Bus citations
- Overt disruptions, even on the day of the game or activity
Good Attendance – Reasons for exclusion or non-eligibility:
Length of exclusion will be until student improves attendance according to the State Attendance Review Board requirements, which will be available in the Principal’s office.
- Absences or unexcused tardies
- Absence on the day of the game or activity
Grade Requirements – Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average and have no “F” grades.

Football - Starts in August
Cross Country - Practices - usually Tuesdays (unless there is a meet that day) from 3 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Gold Oak School. PVS students are permitted to ride the PURPLE bus to that school site.
Girls' Volleyball - Starts in August
Boys' Volleyball - Starts in March
Girls' Basketball - Starts in January
Boys' Basketball -Starts in November
Girls' Soccer - Starts in November
Boys' Soccer - Starts in January
Wrestling - Starts in December
Track - Starts in April
